About the Artist

Sheri Alimonda is a museum-exhibited, award-winning artist who began studying old master oil painting in New York City at age 12.  Her paintings are created with techniques used for centuries: oil glazes layered on Belgian linen—and captures not only the likeness of the person,  but a lasting sense of their presence and personality with the same goal: to honor the individuality of the sitter.

For her, a portrait is never just a likeness—it is a legacy to be cherished now and passed on to future generations.

Live painting performances include the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, the Museum of Television & Radio in Beverly Hills, the Jacob Javits Center in New York. Her work has been exhibited at the Salmagundi Club, the Bama Gallery, and the Monmouth Museum. She has appeared on MTV, Good Day New York, and the Dorothy Dunne Lifestyle Show, and was nominated for the first ever red carpet awards show for the arts-the ArTV Awards. She is a guest speaker with Sixth Star Productions and lectures on art aboard Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, and Orient Lines cruises.

In 2011, Sheri founded 7 Fine Arts, a studio and gallery with past locations in Hoboken, Philadelphia, and Palm Beach. A new Nashville space is opening this fall.

Through classes, lectures, and creative experiences, she shares her knowledge in a clear, approachable way—helping people at every level experience the joy of creating art.
